Do you know how to take corners safely in your car? Everyone may think so, but there is actually only one way to do it correctly, read on to find out how.
Corners or bends should always be approached with caution. You may not appreciate how sharp it is, or what obstructions may lie around it.
Remember, what you can see dictates how you should drive.
If you approach a bend or corner too quickly, you could mis-judge how sharp the bend is, and end up in the path of another vehicle. This means you could sustain serious injuries to yourself and others in an accident.
As you approach the corner check what you can see ahead of you. At the apex (sharpest point) of the corner, take a look, and if the road is clear, you should accelerate gently but firmly.
Take notice of any road signs before the bend, they are put there for a reason!
