The difference between 'courtesy cars' and hire vehicles

If you have been offered a courtesy car by your insurer it is important to understand that this is not the same as being offered a replacement hire-car.

A courtesy car would typically be a basic small saloon or hatchback with little or (more likely) no choice as to the type of vehicle you will receive. This would be supplied by the repairing garage which may also have limitations on their use and availability.

Replacement vehicles are provided on a comparable basis. This means that if you drive an MPV or perhaps a sports car, you will receive an MPV or sports car as a replacement. We can supply vehicles of all tyes from our extensive fleet, with most vehicles we provide being less than 6 months old.

No need to claim on your insurance
