Cheryl Spencer achieves an impressive 35th place out of 85 entries at the Caribbean’s biggest annual international motorsport event - Sol Rally Barbados 2014.
Following an extremely tough course that led to more than half the entries not finishing, Cheryl Spencer and her co-driver and husband Barry battled through to 35th place overall in this prestigeous rally event.
However Cheryl had a few technical problems along the way including a massive oil leak to contend with, but thanks to the brilliant support team behind Chris Williams' Ford Fiesta and Cheryls sheer determination and driving skill she managed to complete the course where many others had failed.
In addition to this achievement Cheryl also received trophies for second place in the modified M5/M6 class and also the highest placed female driver at the whole event.
Sol Rally Barbados and Scotiabank King of the Hill are organised by the Barbados Rally Club, which celebrated its 55th Anniversary in 2012; Sol RB14 is the 25th running of the Club’s annual International All-Stage Rally and marks the seventh year of title sponsorship by the Sol Group, the Caribbean’s largest independent oil company.
