Pull up on the right added to new driving test. 25/08/17


On monday 4 December 2017 there will be a new part added to the driving test - 'pull up on the right and reverse'.

The new manoeuvre has been introduced in an effort to add more 'real world' driving scenarios into the test.

New drivers will always be encouraged to pull up on the left in most situations but it is now accepted that this may not always be possible.

In this instance the new driver is expected to be able to pull up on the right when it is safe to do so and to reverse safely for a couple of car lengths whilst on the right hand side of the road.

They will also be expected to know when and where it is safe to pull up on the right as well as the accuracy and safety of their reversing manoeuvre.

No need to claim on your insurance
