Bolton Wanderers's midfielder is recovering
in hospital following collapse
Fabrice Muamba is said to be making a remarkable recovery despite his shock cardiac arrest at the weekend.
Doctors treating the 23 year old Bolton midfielder have said that he currently recovering in intensive care following the collapse that left him 'effectively dead' for 78 minutes.
Despite having a high level of fitness, it was suggested that because athletes have a lot of stress on their heart during competitive events they may be more susceptible to sudden heart problems.
Fabrice Muamba turned professional whilst playing for Arsenal in 2005 in the League cup. He made a permanent move to Birmingham City 2007 and made his England under-21's debut during that time.
He then moved to his current team Bolton Wanderers in 2008.
