The advantage of not making a non-fault claim on your car insurance
When an insurer helps you after an accident, you are still ‘making a claim’ on your policy whether it is your fault or not. Yes - you should be able to claim back any excess you have paid at a later date – but you will almost certainly have to find the money to pay this ‘up-front’, despite being the innocent party.
Another consequence of a non-fault claim on your car insurance is that it will probably cost you more to insure your vehicle next time. Because you have just made an accident claim, they will now regard you as more likely to have another accident, so you will be charged more for the same cover.
How does your service avoid this?

We and our partners organise the services you need to get your vehicle repaired back to how it was before the accident and give you a hire-car to use in the meantime.
When everything is resolved for you and you are satisfied with the result, we and our partners recover the costs back from the insurer of the at-fault driver on your behalf.
What happens after you recover my car?
If your vehicle is un-roadworthy, we will arrange for a like-for-like replacement vehicle to be delivered to your home or place of work.
Your replacement vehicle will typically be delivered to you within 3 hours of accepting your claim.
The damage to your vehicle will then be assessed by an independent automotive engineer. The repairs to your vehicle will be carried out at an approved accident repair centre that is local to you, or you can alternatively suggest an accident repair centre yourself.
Your claims advisor will keep you informed about the progress of your claim and address any issues or concerns that you may have.
If you require legal advice or assistance, we will arrange this for you. Legal costs will be recovered on your behalf as part of your claim.
