Speeding driver admits causing Japan supercar accident. 7/12/11

car image According to a local newspaper, a man has admitted causing the Chugoku Expressway accident that involved 12 supercars worth over £2 million.

A 60-year old man from Chikushino allegedly told the police that he was driving over the 80km/h Expressway speed limit when he lost control of his Ferrari last Sunday morning.

The newspaper claims that the man told the highway police:“I was driving at a faster speed than the legal limit. I had attempted to change lanes while driving in the passing lane, but the rear wheels of my car skidded, prompting my car to hit the guardrail.”

The police are still questioning all those involved in the car accident, but if the reports prove to be true the man could be charged with negligent driving resulting in personal injuries.
